Thank you so much for taking time to visit our website!
It is our hope that if you are looking for a community of faith in which to worship God, to grow in your walk with Jesus, and to serve others then you will find a home here at St. Paul UMC.
I want to personally invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at either 8:30 am for our traditional service or at 10:45 am for our contemporary service, The Current, as well as for any of the other opportunities provided for study, growth, prayer, fellowship, or mission.
This is a welcoming congregation whose heart beats with the love of Christ, and I believe you will experience that love from the moment you arrive.
Enjoy our website, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and then we’ll see you here soon!
In God’s Grace, Pastor Steve Poarch
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is St. Paul? We are at 4100 Grand Avenue in Fort Smith. We are a mile west of UAFS near the Albert Pike intersection.
What times are the services? What is each service like? 8:30 am – Traditional Service. This is a classic liturgical worship service with hymns accompanied by piano.
10:45 am - Contemporary Service (The Current). This is an uplifting, contemporary service with music led by a praise band and vocalists.
What should I wear? You are invited to come as you are and wear what you desire (within reason and with respect for others). Both services are reverent but relaxed and casual in regard to attire.
Where do my kids go during worship? Children are always welcome during worship. During each service we have a Children's Moment designed for the children to come down to the front and sit with Pastor Steve. We have a nursery available for children up to preschool age.
Following the Children’s Moment during The Current, children (Pre-K to 6th grade) are invited to go to SHINE.

Do you have Sunday School? We have Sunday School classes at 9:40 am for children, youth, and adults. It is right after our 9:30 am Fellowship time in Christopher Hall with coffee and donuts.
Will I be asked to stand or be singled out as a guest? No. You will not be asked to stand or to introduce yourself. There is a voluntary time of greeting during our service for everyone, but no one is singled out. We do, however, have greeters that can help with any questions and a Welcome Station where first-time guests may register their attendance, get information, and receive a gift.
We are ready to help and want you to feel welcome.
What else does St. Paul have for my family? We have programs and opportunities for all ages. See more info here:
